Job description - Senior / Principal Hardware Engineer

realTime is seeking a Senior / Principal Hardware Engineer for challenging career with a leading multinational company in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the R & D Manager, you should have experience in 8, 16 & 32 bit processors and DSPs, CPLD logic devices, Ethernet communications, PCB layout requirements for analog circuits and isolation.

You will be given the opportunity to lead a team of 3 Hardware Engineers and play a pivotal role in the design and development of next generation products used globally.

Skills:

Microprocessors & Logic:

8 bit Microchip (PIC), 8051

16 - 32 bit Motorola 68000 (20), Coldfire,  Atmel ARM-(7+9)

DSP TMS320, ADSP, MAXQ

CPLD / FPGA (Lattice, Xilinx, Actel) Schematic / VHDL (including VHDL test bench) web tools

Embedded Assembler and 'C' programming

Windows Ms 'C' and VB etc

Analog:

Low frequency high accuracy (0.05%) and low noise design

High voltage isolation layout issues

Power supply design (with 5KV isolation) for both DC-DC and AC-DC

Basic knowledge so strip-line layout and design

Application software:

LabVIEW, CVI, Teststand

Mathcad

Pspice

Matlab

Code Composer
